So, it recently came out on Viz Media and they're simulcasting it strait from Japan, so I decided it was time I watch some Sailor Moon.
I remember watching Sailor Moon back in KINDERGARTEN. That was my favorite show back then. I would watch it after school or figure out what time it aired on my off days, which was every other day. Like I said it was my favorite show. I even have three Sailor Moon dolls.
Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Tuxedo Mask and my sister had Sailor Mars. After I got these dolls the only use I had for Barbie was her clothes and accessories. I still remember their English names: Sailor Moon was Serena, Sailor Mercury was Amy, Tuxedo Mask was Darien and Sailor Mars was Ray. And the cat was Luna.
I Can Still Sing the Theme Song!!!
Anyways, since Sailor Moon was my beloved childhood show, I decided to watch the old episodes along with the new Crystal version.
I SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WATCH ANY SAILOR MOON EPISODES AT ALL
Ever watch a "Everything Wrong With _______" or any anime abridged spoof (in this case, specifically Sailor Moon Abridged Censored Version)? Yeah...it was a lot like that. To give you a more precise idea, in the beginning of Sailor Moon Crystal, where they show us these wonderful images of the galaxy and the solar system, I was imitating the Space Core from Portal 2.
I won't go into how badly I was mocking "my beloved childhood show," but please understand-I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
But no, seriously. I really do love Sailor Moon. And the new Crystal is such an improvement over the original animation (but then again, that's to be expected) however, I wasn't completely crazy with the new transformation animation. It was cool, but I liked it better when she stayed all color blurred until the tiara. Though I loved the MMD use.
Now, as a side note, Did you know Sailor Moon had LIVE ACTION FILMS? I think I first saw this at my grandparents a few years ago. Can't remember what channel they were on, but I do remember laughing at the use of stuffed dolls.
Needless to say, I couldn't really watch that.

Edge of Tomorrow
So Edge of Tomorrow wasn't my first choice for the movie to catch this month, I would have rather picked Maleficent (having waited for that for three-four years) or How To Train Your Dragon 2 (the animation looks much better then the first and I've always loved dragons). However, my dinner date left me with no choice but with Edge of Tomorrow.
Now, just because it wasn't my first choice, doesn't mean I was miserable the whole time. On the contrary, I really enjoyed it!-(I kept laughing every time they purposefully killed the guy)
If you remember playing those games where you could start the level over and win without a scratch because the level was always the same, then you'll understand Edge of Tomorrow.
Now, I've seen the following on a trailer before hand so this shouldn't be much of a spoiler, but in case you think the trailers are major spoilers, don't read after this point: The Main character, Cage, finds himself fighting an alien enemy and somehow dies and is reset to the day before the fight. This keeps happening until he manages to find a "war hero" if you will, who had the same thing happen to her. According to her, Cage has the enemy's ability to "reset" after he dies. So in failed attempts she'll shoot him in the head to start over.
Done.
So the effects were excellent and you actually get to see the aliens! It's not a one time glimpse thing either! I think the alien's design is really cool and if you've seen the movie you'd know what I'd mean. Basically, without giving anything away, the design of the alien works really well with how it moves. You may see all these fancy "unneeded" parts, but it turns out they play a major effect with how they move.
I won't go into the mecha suit details or the aircraft, I don't really know much about that stuff. My sister did say that they were trying to make planes that you see in the movie, but it's not going too well.
Anyways, it's been raining a lot here. We've got flooding and the sinkhole in the field down the road has opened back up. It showed up this spring and the farmer plowed it over but now it's back.
We've got more water in our creek then there was after the snow melt. Saturday it was raining hard all day. The baseball field and a parking lot between the mall and Cashwise was flooded. And we have tornadoes south of us right now. Hey, it's not that bad. Earlier this year we had snow, thunderstorms, and tornado warnings all in the same day.

GODZILLA!!!
So I finally got out to see Godzilla and I now have a new favorite movie. It was awesome! AWESOME!
True, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more to the giant monster fight scenes, but at the same time I was able to see that the director was trying to focus more on the human situation. Let's face it, if a pair of giant monsters showed up and did duke it out in a large city, you're not going to have all that great of a view of the fight.
I also appreciated the choice of actors. They were pretty average looking. By average, I mean the kind of people you'd meet every day-not super glamours or incredibly studly. So I applaud them for the realism.
On another note, I was also trying to come up with my top ten favorite movies. And I discovered that most of my choices seemed to have something in common-sorta. Below is the list of movies in no particular order, I haven't sorted it all out yet or made any final say. Just wanted to show you the common factor thingy:
Godzilla
Dragon Heart
Tremors
Jurassic Park
Pirates of the Caribbean I, II, III (I also loved Stranger Tides but it doesn't have the same feel as the first three)
Labyrinth
Avengers
Hetalia: Paint It White (of course this made the list, I'm a HUGE Hetalia fan, remember)
Pacific Rim
and now I'm gonna stop because I don't usually make a specific countdown list for anything.

Captain America The Winter Solider and a rant about some critics.
So movie season is kicking up again and I've got a big list of movies I need to go see in theaters. The first of which being Captain America.
Now I like to catch the afternoon matinee during the week because 1) the tickets are cheaper and 2) there is barely anybody there. There is nothing better then having the whole theater to yourself. That said, you also have the problems that come around because there is barely anybody there.
The wrong movie is playing
3D movie screens are all purple and green
The movie started too early
The lights don't shut off
There's no sound
There's a dirty baby diaper under your seat....
Anyways, I went to see Captain America 2 and it was great! Forget any negative things you may have heard or read (though I have not heard anything negative). People who are complaining about the energy of the actors, or how it didn't "feel right," or that the movie needed to explore the deeper complexities of human nature, etc. etc. they weren't actually watching the movie! Sure they saw it and were watching it critically, but they didn't enjoy it like those of us who go to the movies to watch things explode and get hyped up for no reason.
So anyway, Captain America was great. I thought it could have been funnier, but the action made up for that. The movie throws you into a couple of loops, some you see coming, some you don't and so forth. Now I look forward to the Amazing Spider-man 2 and Godzilla.

Biting Off More Than I Can Chew: Hetaoni
Have you heard of Hetaoni? It's a fan made RPG game of Hetalia based off of the RPG game Ao Oni. It's really sad and very good. Unfortunately, it's not finished yet. So anyway, I really do enjoy looking at others fan art and Hetaoni always gets me in this kind of horror-survival-no-hope-of-escape-makes-you-totally-depressed-because-there-is-nothing-you-can-do mood. And as I was looking at Hetaoni fan art I noticed there were a couple of fan made comic adaptations. Sadly, as good and amazing as they were, none reach up to the point where it cuts off in the game.
So now I want to give it a go!
I know, ME?! The person who procrastinates so badly and usually gives up on something because she gets bored with it. But I'm getting better at this! I'm writing this Hetalia Chess fan fiction (shut up I know) that I've gotten really far on and I've managed to make 4 Hetalia (Shut Up, I'm a Big Hetalia Fan) AMV slideshow things. Granted that former one took me FOREVER to get done, but I did it! (They're all on YouTube if you want to see!)
So, I'm not making any promises, but since I do someday want to make my own comic and since I'm putting this out there, I may actually get something done! That and it's the beginning-ish of the year, this is my most productive time.

News Check!
Sometime earlier today a bolder in Northern Italy destroyed a building and another came close. Take a look in this link. Seriously, it's surreal! Click the link!
There is a lesson to be learned here: Location, Location, Location.
And I know, I get the strangest news.

I Can't Make It To Work Today
I feel kinda bad about it. I've been missing work on and off because of the weather. It's either too cold where my car can't start and I don't have another ride, or it's snowing and blowing. Yesterday was a blizzard and I did step outside for a while and it was surreal. And today well...
...can you blame me?!
I was standing on that drift by my car in the last two pics there.

I'm Bad At This
Okay, So I'm really bad at this "getting to bed early" thing. I can plan to get ready for bed at 10 (like tonight) and end up getting caught up in YouTube videos or something else (like tonight). So for a while I've been getting to bed somewhere around Midnight-1AM. Bad, I know. Luckily I don't work until later in the day (usually) so I can sleep in until 9.
Not that I'm an insomniac, it's just that when I'm awake I like to stay awake and when I'm asleep I like to stay asleep. I rarely take naps on my days off (I get tired around 4-5). I did do some sleeping math once: if 8 hours is the recommended amount time for sleep, then for every 1 hour of sleep you get, you get 2 hours of awake time. I like to sleep somewhere north of 10 hours. I Like Sleep!
Why am I bothering to share this with you?
No Idea. I just looked at the time on my compy and realized I've done it again.

This Is What Is Wrong
Alright, I wanted to add the Olympics to my news page for updates and as I was scanning through the headlines, I found this:

ANYTHING can be used as a weapon. I personally think the guy should be s***

Why do I do this to myself?
YAY! I'm going back to Anime Detour!
BOO! It's still three months away!
YAY! I'm going to cosplay as Italy with a wig this time!
BOO! I want to cut my hair short like Italy's again!
YAY! I'm going to watch Ask A Nation Panels from 2013!
BOO! I'm going to watch Ask A Nation Panels from 2013!
I love watching these panels, but it bums me out when I do. I want to be in a panel and goof off like that. But those panels usually look like all the people in them all know each other. I need more friends but I hate Facebook and other social sites, so what do I do. I do use my email a lot......my typing is rattling something on my desk...........................it's a chocolate Santa tin.
In other news, I watched a .hack//movie. Man I wish The World was real! I'd play it! I really do get into games:Portal, 7 Days to Die, Don't Starve, Closure, and Sims 3. Steam is Great!
